When trying to help a friend...
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)
The plot of the story revolves around two friends (that's right, you guessed it Jak & Daxter), who are searching for a cure for Daxter. You see, Daxter fell into a pool of dark eco, a mysterious substance which transformed him into an Ottsel.
A what? Oh yeah, an Ottsel is a mix between an otter and a weasel. And the only one who can help change him back is the Dark Sage, Gol Acheron. Finding Gol is one thing, but getting him to help, now that's a whole different ball game. Because it seems that Gol plans to flood the world with this dark eco, and it's up to Jak & Daxter to stop him and save their world.
The player controls Jak, who has a wide variety of moves; while Daxter stands on Jak's shoulders. The game doesn't have levels. Instead it's a huge open world platform with only a few loading screens, making the game revolutionary for its time. (2001)
To advance through the world, you need to collect power cells, but, in order to get power cells, you need to help the NPC (Non-Player Characters), solve puzzles, and complete platform elements.
This is one of my son's all time favorite games for Playstation 2.
Do you have a favorite PS2 game? Or was your favorite on a different platform all together?
